Pep Guardiola wziął udział w podcaście dziennika Olé i kilkukrotnie odniósł się do Barcelony oraz do Leo Messiego.

- Gdy trenowałem Barcelonę, złożyło się wiele czynników, miałem wiele gwiazd w odpowiednim wieku. Musiało się tak stać. Xavi, Puyol, Iniesta… To była chemia, która zdarza się raz w życiu.

- Wygrywaliśmy dużo i bez Messiego też byśmy wygrywali, ale czy aż tyle? To niemożliwe. Messi jest jak Michael Jordan, gdy Phil Jackson wywoływał uczucie, że wszystko płynęło i nie było problemów.

- Nie jest łatwo być Messim w świecie piłki. Teraz na pewno powalczy o mistrzostwo świata, nie mam co do tego wątpliwości. Kluczowa jest siła grupy. Mundial to bardzo krótki turniej, ale też bardzo ważny. Taktyka nie ma tam większego wpływu.

- Doświadczenie w futbolu to ogromne kłamstwo. Zawsze mówiłem moim piłkarzom o finale Ligi Mistrzów Milanu z Liverpoolem. Milan miał doświadczony zespół z takimi graczami jak Cafú, Dida, Nesta, Pirlo, Maldini, Gattuso, Crespo, Inzaghi… I przegrał! Po 20 minutach drugiej połowy było już 3:3.

- Sergio Agüero to najważniejszy Argentyńczyk, który pojawił się w angielskiej piłce.

Apropo szkoda że Messi z najlepszych czasów Barcelony się skończył i nie ma już nawet tego błysku z ostatniego czasu jaki tu spędził. Myślałem że pozamyka usta wszystkim krytykom No ale nie daje ku temu okazji i niesmak pozostaje.
